Embellish your clothes with a little embroidery

Embroidering letters and text
If you can embroider letters nicely the possibilities are endless. You can embroider some text on a nice piece of fabric and frame it, you could put text on clothes, on tea towels, pillows and much more. Craftsy has a great tutorial on getting started with hand embroidered letters on their site.
Using up leftover embroidery threads
If you have done several different embroidery projects you probably have some leftover colours and pieces of threads. Pumora has a great suggestion for getting rid of your stash, and creating some awesome looking art for your walls.
A tutorial for embroidering flowers
If you can embroider some nice flowers, you can decorate anything you want with them. And lucky for us Stitch Floral has a few great tutorials on her site.
Embroidered world map
Ok so this tutorial is in Russian (I think), but the photos are pretty self-explanatory. I still wanted to include this one because first of all it looks so good, and second I love maps and travel. And the way this was stitched makes it look very textured and sort of 3D.
Find some books on embroidery
If you haven’t find your perfect tutorial yet, you can have a look at books on embroidery on Amazon. There are books with patterns, or books teaching you new styles and techniques, for beginners or for the more advanced embroiderer.
